“The past is a foreign country; they do things differently there.”

With a degree in Historic Preservation and American Studies, I am skilled in using archival and material culture analysis to craft the fullest picture of the foreign country LP Hartley called the past.

I have experience in both museums and historic homes, and am particularly interested in local history and digital humanities. Whatever the format, I want to use objects to communicate the historical narrative in a way that is accessible and has impact.

I am currently working at the Virginia Historical Society, pursuing a Certificate in Museum Management.

In summer 2016, I will begin a fellowship at Winterthur to pursue an MA in American Material Culture.
